In November and December of last year (2019), we loaded our Jeep Wrangler and headed north out of Cape Town, destination Namibia and the Kunene River, her border with Angola.
A 15-day safari that was mainly designed around photographing the various destinations within Namibia that we had no photographs of or were running low of stock photographs. Over the 15-day period, we managed to rack up 6402.43 kilometres (or 3978.28 miles) with an average speed of just 42 km/h, a truly wonderful time was had.
Our route and destinations visited were as follow;
- Orange River
- Wolvedans Game Reserve
- Swakopmund
- Spitzekoppe
- Doros Crater
- Hoanib River
- Opuwo
- Epupa Falls
- Etosha National Park
- Erindi Private Game Reserve
- Namib Naukluft
- Fish River canyon
Over the next few weeks and months, we will be adding travel information, detailed route maps and KML files, as well as photographs and opinions on each of the destinations visited. When new posts have been published we will notify all via FaceBook and Twitter
Below is a map with the exact routing that was travelling, it is just near fish River canyon that our Garmin had a bit of a miss-fire and did not record the short journey from there to the South African border.
