A Rustic Tented Camp That Is All About The Wildlife And Birdlife Of Botswana's Linyanti Region
Camp Linyanti is purely for those with a passion for experiencing the wilds of Africa, this is a camp that is more about the quality of guiding, game viewing, wildlife and birdlife over luxury accommodation.
Situated deep in the north-western corner of the Chobe National Park (known better as the Chobe enclave), in one of Botswana's most precious and undiscovered wilderness areas. The camp is rustic with African-inspired decor located on the very river border that separates Botswana and Namibia, yes, that is how far north the camp is located.
If you are looking for a camp in a remote location, a camp that is small and intimate and a camp that offers fantastic wildlife and bush experience, then Camp Linyanti is for your Botswana safari.
Rooms and Suites
Only five rounded canvas tented suites with air-conditioning are available, ensuring an intimate and private stay for all. The tented suites are slightly raised off the floor with viewing decks, comfortable bedding and en-suite bathroom facilities.
Bathroom facilities consist of a large bath and an enclosed outdoor shower (open to the skies).
A third bed can be added for those with a child in tow.
Cuisine and Wine
All meals are of a home-cooked style, simple and yet delicious.
Meals are served weather dependant either in the indoor dining area or outside next to the open fire.
Lodge Facilities
Extensive wooden decks overlook the Linyanti River and floodplain offering up amazing views in almost every direction. In the central guest area, there is a bar, lounge and dining area, just in front of the lodge, there is a basic outdoor fire area perfect for the sunsets, a spot of birding or a few after-dinner nightcaps.
There is no cell phone reception, WiFi or swimming pool due to the remoteness of the camp.
Safari Activities
The camp now offers purely land-based safari activities, and twice-daily game drives with highly skilled and knowledgeable guides all in open 4x4 safari vehicles.
Birding in this area of Botswana is nothing short of amazing. There is also an excellent chance of sighting Sable and Roan antelope.
Note; as soon as the Linyanti starts to flow (water levels rise), boating safari activities become available. Please on enquiry ask what activities are on offer.
Family Friendly
Camp Linyanti welcomes children and families, although parents please note there are no direct child-friendly activities (example; play area, tv lounge etc.).
Children participating in game drives and safari activities are at the discretion of the guides and management.
We would suggest children from ten years and older.
