Introduction

Located in a private concession that offers visitors regular wildlife sightings that include; elephant, buffalo, giraffe, hippo, lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog. Stanley's Camp is a luxurious option for those who seek out only the finest in facilities, accommodation and wildlife.

As of April 2018, Stanley's Camp has been almost totally refurbed in almost every way. A better experience now awaits.

The area surrounding the camp is ideal for those who are after both a land and water based safari experience with game drives and boating options available. Helicopter flights and elephant interaction walks are additional options that one can participate in.

Rooms and Suites

Accommodation at Stanley's Camp consists of ten traditional styled safari tents, all new updated as of April 2018.

The suites exude vintage Africa; handmade beds dressed in very best linen, classic furnishings individually chosen in addition to oriental carpets that transfers you to early 19th century Africa.

All suites feature en-suite amenities and private viewing decks.

Hammocks and Morris chairs on the veranda are fantastic for relaxation in the African sunlight.

Cuisine and Wine

Meals are served up in some of the Okavango Delta's more iconic settings; lunch in the waters of the Delta itself, private dinners and the once-in-a-lifetime option of breakfast with elephants.

Stanley's will cater to all your culinary preferences and needs, and without a doubt, some of the best cuisines in all of Botswana awaits.

Lodge Facilities

The central guest area (new as of April 2018) under canvas is an open and breezy affair with almost 360° views of the surrounding floodplains and waterways. A small library and seating area, outdoor bar area, swimming pool, raise viewing area with firepit and a lounge have all been refreshed and upgraded.

One is in for a right royal treat, that classic feel of the old Stanley's Camp is still there but with a new and improved modern feel.

Safari Activities

In an area that is renowned for great wildlife encounters, Stanley's Camp offers guests game drives, night drives, walking safaris and mokoro trips as part and parcel of one's safari experience.

Additionally, there is the chance of an amazing elephant encounter experience, a walk and picnic with semi-habituated elephants. Sounds scary, but in fact, a very uplifting experience is to be had.

Helicopter flights over the Delta offer a unique perspective, this is an optional activity and it does need to be pre-booked.

Family Friendly

Families with children of all ages are most welcome at Stanley's Camp. We would, however, suggest that children be at least 8 years and older due to the surrounding wildlife and nature of the camp.
