Rooms and Suites

Xugana Island Lodge with eight raised reed and thatch chalets offers guests beautiful views of the Xugana Lagoon.

The chalets are furnished with twin beds (or queen should one wish) all draped in mosquito nets, en-suite facilities, showers, overhead fans and private viewing decks.

His and her robes are provided for your comfort during your stay at Xugana Island Lodge.

Accommodation Facilities

The Xugana Island Lodge is located in the Okavango Delta and takes full advantage of its beautiful surroundings.

There is an open boma and al fresco dining area that overlooks the expanse of the Okavango River, and the lounge, bar, and dining areas are set back under a tree canopy.

The swimming pool is a great place to relax.

WiFi is available, but bear in mind that the internet connection is not that fast.

Wildlife Activities

The Xugana Island Lodge offers a variety of safari activities for guests to enjoy. Game drives led by professional and vastly experienced guides, and trackers depart every morning and later afternoon. On these game drives, one will spot, view, and photograph some of the most amazing wildlife.

Exploring the Delta by motorboat or canoe (mokoro), combined with walking on surrounding islands in the concession, gives guests the chance to experience a classic Okavango Delta safari.

Walking safaris around Xugana Island and nature walks around the lodge are perfect for spotting wildlife big and small.

Bird-watching opportunities are outstanding, with migrant birds present in the summer months. Fishing for bream and tiger fish is also offered as an activity at the lodge.
