Botswana and Zimbabwe are two of southern Africa's most diverse countries, offering an array of activities and landscapes for the adventurous traveller. On this accommodated safari, you'll explore both Botswana and Victoria Falls and stay in a variety of accommodations, from lodges to guest houses to bungalows.
This is a great value safari that will let you see highlights of Northern Botswana and the mighty Victoria Falls.
Day 1: Makgadikgadi National Park
- Your guide will meet you at Maun Airport at 14:30 and brief you before leading you to your first lodge.
- The Boteti River Camp, in Khumaga village overlooking the Boteti River and located on the edge of the Makgadikgadi National Park.
- Spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool or viewing the river from the lounge chair.
- Distance: 180 km, 2.5 hrs
- Meals: Dinner
- Accommodation: Boteti River Camp or similar
Day 2: Makgadikgadi National Park
- We will depart early in the morning to explore the Makgadikgadi region, which is home to a rich variety of desert specialized species and predators, including lion, hyena, and cheetah.
- In addition, this region is well-known for one of the greatest zebra migrations in Africa, which you may observe if you visit (summer months only).
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 3: Maun
- After breakfast, you'll go on an excursion to the village of Khumaga, where you can learn about the Wayeyi tribe's customs and traditions.
- After that, you'll go West to Maun, where you may dine at a local restaurant.
- After lunch, you head to your lodge on the outskirts of Maun and have the afternoon at leisure.
- A Night at Thamalakane River Lodge on the outskirts of Maun, dinner is for your own account.

Day 4: Okavango Delta Exploring
- We visit the Okavango Delta today, with a full day mokoro excursion into a community-managed concession area.
- At the mokoro station, you'll meet your mokoro poler/guide, who will show you some of the river's hidden secrets and take you on a nature walk.
- You'll return to camp after exploring the untouched wilderness in your dugout canoe and on foot.
- Meals: Breakfast and Lunch
- Accommodation: Thamalakane River Lodge or similar
Day 5: Khwai Conservation Area
- After breakfast, the drive today takes you through beautiful wildlife areas and game viewing, that famed Khwai Conservation area, our destination.
- Your destination is the Khwai River, which runs along the border of Moremi Game Reserve, one of Botswana's finest wilderness areas and home to plenty of game.
- Following two days will be spent looking for the wide range of animals and birds that this region is known for, as well as absorbing the sights and sounds of the area.
- Game drives can be enjoyed in the early morning as the sun rises and in the late afternoon as the sun sets.
- Distance: 160 km, ±5 hrs
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
- Accommodation: Khwai Guesthouse or similar
Day 6: Khwai Conservation Area
- Morning and afternoon for full day game drives are on offer to explore the region surrounding the Khwai River.
- You will spend as much time as possible in this stunning area.
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
- Accommodation: Khwai Guesthouse or similar
Day 7: Chobe National Park
- The safari route today takes you north to a rustic camp near the northern border of Chobe National Park.
- We'll stay for two nights to see the park's northern sections.
- This will be a full day of activities, as we'll go on a full-day game drive through the Savuti region of the Chobe National Park and North to the Chobe flood plains.
- You'll have your lunch break on the highway surrounded by incredible animals, which will allow you to get late afternoon into your resort.
- Distance: 200 km, 10 hrs
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
- Accommodation: Chobe Elephant Camp or similar
Day 8: Chobe National Park
- Northern Chobe is a park with an incredible number of animals that is inundated year-round by the Chobe River.
- Elephants and buffalo are frequently seen in huge droves.
- Many predators, such as lions and leopards, may be encountered in this region due to the dense population of herbivores.
- A boat cruise through the Chobe National Park and game drives expose visitors to this magnificent region from both land and water.
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 9: Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe
- The trip now takes you to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, where you'll spend the night at Pioneers Lodge.
- Your guide will introduce you to the team at your lodge and bid you farewell.
- The lodge staff will assist you with arranging any and all adventure activities in and around Victoria Falls.
- Spend the afternoon at leisure exploring the spectacular Falls, or shop for curios.
- Please keep in mind that dinner on your last night will be paid for by yourself.

Day 10: This is Botswana Safari Ends
- The safari officially ends at 8h00 today.
- Should you have sone free time before your flight, try a few additional activities.
- If you want to stay in Victoria Falls a little longer, we can arrange extra nights on the Zimbabwe or Zambia sides of the Falls.
