Discover Botswana Wildlife Safari

Day 1: Moremi Game Reserve

• Upon arrival at Maun Airport, a representative of Uyaphi.com will meet you and escort you to your charter plane for the start of the Discover Botswana Wildlife.
• Climb aboard and enjoy the 30-minute scenic flight over the bejewelled Okavango Delta, and landing at an airstrip in the game-rich Moremi Game Reserve.
• You will be met by your safari guide and driven to camp in a customised game viewer, thus beginning the first leg of your luxury mobile safari.
• The vehicle is stocked with refreshments, and it is advised to have your cameras ready for possible animal sightings en route.
• Arrive at your private camp, setup and ready for you to get comfortable and relax.
• Unfenced and open to the wild, the BOGA sites used are reserved for safari operators, ensuring an exclusive experience.
• Tents are spacious Meru-style canvas structures with en suite bush bathrooms, bucket showers, and pit latrines.
• A campfire is lit, and a scrumptious 3-course dinner is prepared over an open fire and served at the table in the dining tent, accompanied by a variety of beverages and good conversation.
• After dinner, retire to your luxury tent and fall asleep under the African skies.

Day 2: Moremi Game Reserve

• After a comfortable night under canvas, you will receive a 05h30 wake-up call with warm water wash basins outside your tent and the smell of coffee from the dining tent.
• Enjoy a light breakfast of freshly baked muffins, cereal, toast, fruit and yoghurt around the laid table and discuss what wild sounds were heard during the night.
• After breakfast, depart for morning game drive in the spectacular Xinii region of Moremi.
• After a 3-4 hour game drive, you will return to camp to freshen up before brunch.
• Your tents will have been tidied and prepared for your return.
• Brunch is then served at the dining table with all sorts of refreshments on offer.
• Afterwards, spend your afternoon relaxing around camp before having a light tea and departing on afternoon game drive at around 16h00.
• Return to camp after a fantastic safari and sundowners in a scenic spot in the bush.
• An inspired 3-course menu is cooked over an open fire and served to you at the dinner table, after which you are welcome to sit around the campfire and relax.

Day 3: Moremi Game Reserve

• Wake up to your second morning in Moremi after a night in the wild.
• Another early start to have breakfast before heading out on game drive, today follows a similar pattern to yesterday allowing for two game drives, and time for a siesta in between tasty meals.
• The day ends with conversation around the campfire, bellies full of home cooked food and another night in your luxury tent to look forward to.

Day 4: Savute Marsh

• This morning brings a change of scenery as you further discover the magic of Botswana on this luxury mobile safari.
• Wake up in Moremi for the last time and enjoy a tasty breakfast, paired with coffee and fruit juices while your bags are packed into the game viewer ready to take you off to the airstrip.
• Your short charter flight will take you to the Savuti airstrip where you will be met by your new host from Ghoha Hills Savuti Lodge, located in a prestigious position overlooking a private waterhole and views of the Savute.
• Luxury lodge accommodation, delicious food, and relaxation await.
• Activities at Ghoha Hills include full day trips into the Savute Marsh including picnic lunches in scenic areas; and sunset game drives around Ghoha Hills, which lead you to ancient baobab trees, and a private waterhole.
• Daily schedule will follow that of Ghoha Hills tradition.

Day 5: Savute Marsh

• Ghoha Hills guides will wake you up at your luxury tented suites, and you will enjoy breakfast at the lodge while the game viewer is prepared with refreshments and a picnic lunch for a day out in the famous Savute Marsh.
• After breakfast, board the game viewer and enjoy a day spent out in one of Botswana’s most sought after wildlife destinations, stopping for coffee and, later, lunch, before heading back to the lodge in time for high tea at about 15h00 (depending on sightings).
• Talented lodge staff put on a song and dance performance at the boma fire, which adds an element of tradition and culture to your safari experience at Ghoha Hills.
• Enjoy a 3-course dinner and your second night in Savuti.

Day 6: Savute Marsh

• The schedule for the third day at Ghoha Hills may incorporate another fantastic day out in the Savute Marsh, or you may choose to relax at the lodge, taking in the views (and game viewing!) the from your balcony, and embarking on a short sunset drive.
• An evening around the boma and a 3-course dinner will follow before turning in for your last night at Ghoha Hills.

Day 7: Chobe National Park

• After a hearty breakfast at Ghoha Hills, you will be transferred to the airstrip and connect with your scenic charter flight to Kasane.
• Upon arrival at Kasane Airport, you will once again be met by your safari guide and driven the 2-hour route through Chobe National Park to your private campsite.
• Once again, the camp is set up before your arrival, and your luxury Meru-style tent awaits.
• The dining marquee tent houses a full bar and coffee station, while the table is set for a shady snack-lunch in the bush.
• Soon after, get ready for a superb sundowner game drive to the Chobe River, which is the famous home of elephants, buffalo, and birdlife.
• Many species reside in the national park and along the riverfront, making this a game-filled safari destination.
• Return to camp, where a fire is lit under the starry sky and refreshments await your order.
• The dinner menu is announced, and you will then sit down to the full 3-course affair, traditionally prepared on an open fire.
• After dinner, enjoy a night cap around the fire or turn in early.

Day 8: Chobe National Park

• Wake up call at 05h30 with strong coffee and a light breakfast before boarding the Land Cruiser and heading out for your first-morning game drive in this famous safari destination.
• Much the same as in Moremi, the next couple of days will revolve around exciting and unpredictable game viewing along the Chobe River and surrounding areas, afternoon snoozes, and some good eating at the luxuriously equipped campsite.
• Our unfenced camps are located at the private BOGA or Hatab sites reserved for safari operators only, so the accommodation is exclusive and spacious, but animals are free to roam where they please.
• Enjoy the wilderness, and if you’re lucky you’ll be entertained by wandering elephant, impala, kudu, buffalo, and mainly hyena at night!

Day 9: Chobe National Park

• Your last day out in the magnificence of the Botswana bush begins.
• Early breakfast is followed by the game drive as usual, and lunch and siesta will follow.
• After tea, you will depart the camp for your final game drive ending with a spectacular sunset over the Chobe River.
• Arrive back to a firelit camp and a table set for dinner under the stars.
• The evening routine commences with drinks around the fire, and an exchange of happy safari memories before turning in for the last night in the wild.

Day 10: Victoria Falls

• Wake up to a delicious breakfast with coffee to match.
• Soon after, you will board the Land Cruiser and be driven back to Kasane through the National Park and straight to the Kazangula border post, which is where you will enter Zimbabwe, bound for the mighty Victoria Falls.
• After completing necessary immigration formalities, our Zimbabwean representative will meet you and drive you the 80km to the town of Victoria Falls and to your luxury hotel where you will check in.
• Hotel/Lodge accommodation here is booked on a bed and breakfast basis.
• You can arrange for your driver to take you to the entrance of the Falls, where one guided tour is included in this itinerary.
• There are many curio shops, restaurants, and various activities on offer at personal expense.

Day 11: Victoria Falls

• Wake up to a full breakfast at the hotel before you spend the day how you choose, whether that involves exploring the many shops and restaurants in the town itself, or taking on some of the adrenalin activities.
• Evening spent at your leisure before your last night at the hotel.

Day 12: Safari Ends

• After a good breakfast at the hotel, you will be picked up and transferred to the airport in time to meet your connecting onward flight.
