Discover Moremi Safari

Day 1: Khwai Safari Area

• Upon arrival at Maun Airport, you will be met by your safari guide and introduced to your first taste of the Discover Moremi luxury mobile safari!
• Board the specially-designed game viewer, and enjoy refreshments en route to your first camp in the Khwai Community Concession, bordering the Moremi Game Reserve.
• A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at a scenic spot along the way, while game viewing is all part of the journey.
• You will arrive at the private campsite where your individual Meru-style tents will be ready to receive you.
• Spacious interiors with canvas hanging shelves, carpeted floors, twin beds, and an en suite bush bathroom, this is no ordinary camping experience!
• Settle down with warm bucket showers and a drink around the fire before a 3-course dinner is served in the dining tent where a table awaits you.
• After dinner, enjoy a chat around the fire before heading off to bed in the wilds of Botswana.

Day 2: Khwai Safari Area

• You will receive a wake up call with warm water in your basin for washing up, followed by coffee and breakfast in the dining tent before setting out on a full day safari in the magnificent Khwai Concession.
• A picnic lunch and a cooler box of refreshments will accompany you in the game viewer, to be enjoyed at a scenic spot in the bush.
• This concession, located in the Okavango Delta, is teeming with game and shares unfenced borders with the Moremi Game Reserve.
• Community-run, the Khwai Concession has a conservation focus, and is one of the most incredible places to visit.
• Return to camp in the late afternoon, enjoy a freshly prepared bucket shower and a refreshment before dinner.
• If you'd like, head out on a short drive after dark to explore the nocturnal activity of the area.
• This is a real privilege, as it is not allowed in the National Parks.

Day 3: Khwai Safari Area

• Following a similar pattern to yesterday, today will be spent exploring more of what this community concession has to offer.
• In between game drives, you’ll be invited to relax around camp in the lounge marquee, or in your spacious tent, and 3 home cooked meals will be served at breakfast, lunch and supper.

Day 4: Moremi Game Reserve

• This morning you will wake up to a delicious breakfast before setting off for a full day activity exploring the Okavango waterways.
• This is your last morning in Khwai, as this afternoon’s destination is a new camp in Moremi Game Reserve.
• You will spend the day exploring the Delta channels with the option of a mokoro or motor boat cruise on the water among hippo, crocodiles, elephant, and an array of birds.
• The team at camp will be busy setting up your new camp in Moremi, which will be ready to welcome you in the afternoon.
• After lunch at a scenic picnic spot, you’ll head towards camp in the Moremi Game Reserve, all the while enjoying the game viewing and beautiful scenery of the area.
• Arrive to warm bucket showers, and refreshments before a 3 course dinner is served, and your bed begins to call.

Day 5: Moremi Game Reserve

• After a comfortable night under canvas, you will receive a 05h30 wake up call with warm water wash basins outside your tent and the smell of coffee from the dining tent.
• Enjoy a light breakfast of freshly baked muffins, cereal, toast, fruit and yoghurt around the laid table and discuss what wild sounds were heard during the night.
• After breakfast, depart for morning game drive in the spectacular Xinii region of Moremi.
• After a 3-4 hour game drive, you will return to camp to freshen up before brunch.
• Your tents will have been tidied and prepared for your return.
• Brunch is then served at the dining table with all sorts of refreshments on offer.
• Afterwards, spend your afternoon relaxing around camp before having a light tea and departing on afternoon game drive at around 16h00.
• Return to camp after a fantastic safari and sundowners in a scenic spot in the bush.
• An inspired 3-course menu is cooked over an open fire and served to you at the dinner table, after which you are welcome to sit around the campfire and relax.

Day 6: Moremi Game Reserve

• Another early start to have breakfast before heading out on game drive, today follows a similar pattern to yesterday allowing for 2 game drives, and time for a siesta in between tasty meals.
• The day ends with conversation around the campfire, bellies full of home-cooked food and another night in your luxury tent to look forward to.

Day 7: Safari Ends

• This morning brings your luxury camping safari in Moremi to an end.
• After breakfast, you’ll hit the road in the game viewer and continue through the Maun airport, where you will bid farewell to your guide and connect with your onward flight.
