Galdessa has a bush-relaxed feel and is designed to blend with the environment using earthy colours and natural woods throughout.
Each of the 12 rooms has luxury en-suite bathrooms, furnished viewing decks and solar-powered electric lights.
The main mess area at camp also features a swimming pool, a bar and lounge area, and a dedicated massage room with professional masseuses available on request.
At Galdessa, guests can enjoy morning game drives to explore Tsavo East and its incredible wildlife, accompanied by expert guides who will impart local knowledge about the animal, bird and plant life of this area.

Rooms and Suites
Twelve luxurious and spacious thatched and semi-tented bungalows on wooden platforms, each with an en-suite bathroom and private veranda.
Galdessa Camp guests are ensured their privacy as all of the bungalows are situated a reasonable distance apart, and natural foliage is used to conceal neighbouring bandas subtly.
The bathrooms are large and have traditional bucket showers, flush toilets and basins with running water.
Cuisine and Wine
The Galdessa Camp has its own lounge and dining room where guests enjoy hearty meals and can relax during their free time from activities.
One of the authentic delights of being on safari is a bush breakfast after an early morning walk or game drive. Guests are taken to a dry, sandy riverbed to find a table laid with pristine linen and china under the shade of the doum palms. Waiters appear from the bushes with cold, refreshing face towels to take your orders as the welcome smell of freshly cooked bacon and sausages wafts through the air.
The wine selection at Galdessa is superb, with a wide variety of wines to choose from. Guests can enjoy a glass of wine with their meal or relax with a cold glass of beer after a long day on safari. The Camp has a well-stocked bar, with everything from local beers to fine wines from around the world.
Activities
Activities at Galdessa Camp include game drives in open vehicles; walking safaris along the Galana River and sand rivers; sundowners and bush breakfasts; and visits to the nearby Rhino Camp conservation project (15 minutes from Galdessa).
The camp's direct area is home to over 50 black rhinos.
Tsavo East National Park is a wilderness area of incredible- biodiversity. Uncommon species seen include lesser kudu, gerenuk, fringed-eared oryx, Hirola and Peter's gazelle. The area is renowned for elephants, particularly during the dry season: the last count (1999) recorded 8100.
Tsavo is particularly rich in birdlife, with birds migrating from as far as Oman, Malawi, Iran, Germany and Russia.
