Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi
- Your safari begins with a night at the gorgeous boutique hotel, House of Waine, on arrival in Nairobi.
- House of Waine is located in the leafy suburb of Karen.
- Lush gardens and a relaxed atmosphere await.
- It is up to you if you want to go out and visit a few attractions or stay back and relax at the hotel.
- Popular optional activities nearby include; the giraffe conservation centre, visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and the Karen Blixen Museum.
- Numerous nearby restaurants are available for dinner options.
- Meals: Breakfast
- Accommodation: House of Waine
Days 2-5: Mara North Conservancy
- A short morning transfer to Wilson Airport for one's connecting light aircraft transfer to the Masai Mara Conservancies.
- A one-hour light aircraft transfer followed by an approximate one-hour vehicle transfer (game drive) to your Mara Bush House.
- The Mara Bush House, a three-bedroomed family lodge that caters to one's family's every need with a dedicated team of chefs, guides and butlers.
- The next few days are dedicated to exploring the Mara region's spectacular wildlife on birdlife.
- Activities available include; Game drives and night drives, guided bush walks, the Mara Elephant Project, community and cultural visits, and child-focused activities.
- Optional activities that we consider a must-do are hot air ballooning and cultural tours
- Meals: Full Board
- Accommodation: Mara Bush Houses
Days 6-9: Zanzibar
- After three days of safaris, it is time to head for Zanzibar for a few days of total relaxation.
- After your morning safari activities, a short flight back to Nairobi's Wilson Airport for the connecting flight to Zanzibar.
- The next three days are spent at the unique Matemwe Beach House, located in the northeast corner of the island.
- Matemwe Beach House is the perfect escape for families looking for a more private and intimate beach and island experience.
- Activities on offer include; diving and snorkelling, kayaking, traditional sailing and fishing, cultural and community visits, historical Stone Town and local market tours, and swimming with dolphins.
- Meals: Full Board
- Accommodation: Matemwe Beach House
Day 10: Kenya Family Beach And Bush Safari Ends
- Your last morning in Zanzibar.
- An airport transfer awaits, as do your onward safari destinations, or it is homeward bound.
- Meals: Breakfast
