Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi
- On arrival in Nairobi, we are greeted and then transferred to the Tamarind Tree Hotel.
- The Tamarind Tree Hotel is 5 kilometres south of Nairobi and is perfect for both business and leisure travellers.
- The remainder of the day is at our leisure.
- Optional activities are available including; Nairobi National Park, Kitengela Hot Glass Excursion, Nairobi Shopping Spree, or the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Orphanage.
- Dinner tonight is for our own account with numerous world-famous dining options in Nairobi available we would highly recommend the onsite Carnivore Restaurant.
- Meals: Bed and Breakfast

Day 2: Samburu Game Reserve
- We depart Nairobi early in the morning after breakfast.
- Heading north we pass Thika and onto breathtaking scenery dotted with rushing mountain streams and tea and coffee plantations.
- We finally enter the Samburu Game Reserve and check into our lodge in time for lunch.
- Samburu Game Lodge on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River and offers a wide choice of accommodation and great game drives.
- An afternoon game drive is on the cards before returning to the lodge for sunset drinks and dinner.
- Meals: Full Board

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve
- An early morning game exploring all that is the Samburu is followed by breakfast.
- A few hours of relaxation time before lunch.
- After lunch, we depart for our afternoon game drive.
- Returning to the lodge as the sunsets.
- Meals: Full Board
- Accommodation: Samburu Game Lodge
Day 4: The Aberdares
- We depart the Samburu after breakfast, heading south for the forests of the Aberdare Mountain Range.
- We arrive at Outspan in time for a delicious lunch before our mid-afternoon transfer to Treetops Lodge.
- Treetops Lodge offers a floodlit watering hole that attracts wildlife throughout the day and night.
- There is also an underground viewing platform for some amazing photographic opportunities.
- Meals: Full Board
- Accommodation: Treetops Lodge
Day 5: Lake Nakuru
- Breakfast and an early morning start to today's drive, Lake Nakuru is our destination.
- We stop along the way to view the Nyahururu Falls (Thomson's Falls) with a 237-foot cascade.
- We arrive at Lake Nakuru Lodge in time for lunch.
- Lake Nakuru Lodge offers good accommodation, game drives and views out over the national park.
- An afternoon game drive in the Lake Nakuru National Park is on offer.
- We hopefully have the chance to stop flamingoes, Black and White rhinos as and the endangered Rothschild Giraffe.
- Meals: Full Board
- Accommodation: Lake Nakuru Lodge
Day 6: Masai Mara
- We depart Lake Nakuru early in the morning after breakfast with the Masai Mara area being our destination today.
- Passing through numerous villages and amazing landscapes we arrive at Keekorok Lodge in time for lunch.
- Keekorok Lodge is surrounded by wildlife year-round and lies in the path of the annual migration.
- After lunch and short relaxation time, we head out on our first Masai Mara game drive.
- We return to the lodge for sunset and dinner.
- Meals: Full Board
- Accommodation: Keekorok Lodge
Day 7: Masai Mara
- Early morning game drive followed by brunch.
- Lunch at Keekorok is followed by our afternoon game drive, returning at sunset.
- Note: A hot air balloon safari option can be pre-booked for this morning (highly recommended).
- Meals: Full Board
- Accommodation: Keekorok Lodge
Day 8: Kenya Horizons Safari Ends
- We depart the Masai Mara today and head back to Nairobi, en route we have the chance to spot more wildlife.
- We arrive back in Nairobi in the early afternoon and dropped off at either the airport or our hotel.
- Meals: Breakfast
