Palmwag Lodge is one of Namibia's oldest and most popular tourist destinations and is renowned for its idyllic location amongst rustling palm trees and mopane trees, spectacular scenery and convenient location in the vast 450 000-hectare (1.1 million-acre) Palmwag Concession with its host of desert-adapted wildlife.
The rugged landscape in which the lodge is situated in a spectacularly scenic wilderness area centred around the Concession, best known for its desert-adapted wildlife, such as black rhinos, elephants, and giraffes. The concession supports the largest free-roaming population of desert-adapted black rhino in Africa. The broader area is also well known for the unique culture of the semi-nomadic Himba people.
This all makes Palmwag an excellent base from which to explore the remote wilderness areas of north-western Namibia.
With 24 thatched suites spread out amongst the palms and have views of the waterhole and beyond.

All suites at Palmwag are equipped with mosquito nets, en-suite bathrooms, and air conditioning to ensure a pleasant stay during your time at the lodge.
The family suites can accommodate 4-6 people and are perfect for groups or families, while the twin rooms are perfect for couples.
Additionally, all guests have access to the lodge's shaded veranda, where they can relax and take in the beautiful surroundings.

Once one navigates the main Sesriem entrance gates and enters the national park a pleasant surprise awaits, a tarred road (yes, a tarred road) that extends all the way through to the main parking area near Sossusvlei.
