A Bush Camp With A Front Row Seat To The Wildlife Of Both Etosha And Onguma
Onguma Bush Camp is a wonderful place to stay while exploring Etosha National Park, Namibia, whether you are on a self-drive or guided safari.
The camp is situated on the eastern border of Etosha, bordering Fisher's Pan. This location offers excellent views of the surrounding wildlife and landscape when in the Etosha National Park.
Onguma Game Reserve is a beautiful nature reserve that boasts an abundance of plains game. The birdlife at Onguma Nature Reserve is also quite impressive, with over 300 species present.
A classic safari camp offering up 18 rooms and suites with all the amenities and facilities one could ask for, including a pool, dining area, and bar, as well as a library and curio shop.
The bush camp and Onguma reserve are located within a 5-minute drive of the Namutoni Gate into the famed Etosha National Park.

All the rooms and suites at Bush Camp offer guests comfortable and stylish accommodation in the heart of the Namibian bushveld.
The rooms and suites are luxurious and perfect for couples, single travellers, romantics, honeymooners and families alike.
There are 18 safari suites in total, including three rondavel suites, six loft rooms and family rooms, eight twin bed deluxe rooms and one luxurious settler's room.
All of the rooms and suites offer guests a document safe, minibar, air conditioning, as well as tea and coffee facilities.

Cuisine And Wine
Meals are served in and around the main thatched dining area with views out over the pool and waterhole. Here one is treated to an excellent combination of European and traditional African cuisine, all paired with an excellent variety of South African wine choices.
A more private dinner under the stars or for larger groups, a traditional boma experience is available on request.
Picnic baskets are available on request; these are specially prepared for those who are spending the whole day game driving in the National Park.
Camp Facilities
The Onguma Bush Camp has a variety of facilities for guests to enjoy.
There is a swimming pool with sun loungers, a thatched bar area, a small lounge, and a dining area overlooking the extensive waterhole and out into the Etosha bushveld.
Always have your camera on hand as plains game and birdlife around the camp is most often close enough for excellent photographs.
A small safari shop at reception as well as a games room.
Free Wi-Fi is available to guests.
Safari Activities
The safari activities from Onguma Bush Camp are excellent, both within the Onguma Game Reserve and Etosha National Park.
You can enjoy game drives, night drives, nature walks and a sundowner drive in the Onguma Reserve, where you can spot and photograph a variety of game and birds.
You can also go on professionally guided game drives into Etosha National Park, where you have the chance to see some of the most spectacular wildlife and settings in the whole of Africa.
In the summer months, the birdlife is exceptional.

The Road To Sossusvlei
Once one navigates the main Sesriem entrance gates and enters the national park a pleasant surprise awaits, a tarred road (yes, a tarred road) that extends all the way through to the main parking area near Sossusvlei.
