Büllsport Guestfarm is the perfect destination for those who are after more of a farm-styled safari option when visiting the Namib Desert region of Namibia. The perfect destination for those who love outdoor activities, including; hiking and walking trails, horse riding options and a bit of 4x4ing, all the while experiencing and exploring this amazing area in the Naukluft mountains.
The pure scope of activities on offer here makes this one of our preferred options for travellers who are looking to spend three or more nights in the Namib area without it costing the earth.
The perfect accommodation option for those who want a bit more of a private (away from the crowds) Namib experience without sacrificing location as well as activities.
Büllsport Guestfarm is 155 kilometres (2.5 hours drive) drive from Sossusvlei.
Rooms and Suites
Comfortable, clean and basic accommodation awaits; Büllsport Guestfarm offers up 14 spacious rooms, including; two triple and two family rooms. All rooms are large, around 50 m² in size, including a bedroom area, indoor sitting area, verandah and large en-suite bathroom.

- Fridge for keeping things fresh in summer
- A coffee and tea station
- A small indoor seating area
- A covered verandah with seating for two.
Cuisine and Wine
Breakfast options include both hot and cold options; from bacon, sausage and eggs to muesli, cereals, yoghurt, cold meats, cheeses and homemade bread, the choice is yours.
Three-course dinners are offered from a small fixed menu; meals consist of hearty, home-cooked Namibian classics.
There is nothing fancy about the cuisine on offer here at this Namibia guestfarm, but on saying that, expect nothing less than tasty home-cooked meals.
Special dietary requirements are catered for, but please advance notice is recommended.
Lodge Facilities
The central guest area around the guestfarm offers up both indoor and outdoor dining areas, a sparkling swim pool, a shaded verandah and an honesty bar. The decor is farm style and is a bit dated, but on saying that, the decor suits the lodge (obviously, it is a farm-styled lodge :) ).
Free WiFi is available for all guests, and the speed is rather fast (even for us South Africans). The WiFi is best around the central guest area; a weak signal can be picked up in the rooms.

Safari Activities
There is a wide choice of hiking and walking trails when staying at Büllsport, 14 in total; for one, explore all that this area has to offer. These trails go by the following names; Quiver Tree Gorge Trail, Archeological Trail, Bull's Head Trail, Trail up to the "Alm" (alp), Kudu Trail and the Olive Trail, to mention only a few.
A must-do is the guided tour to the Rock Arch of the Naukluft; the drive-in grom the Guestfarm is utterly spectacular, as is the short(ish) hike to the Rock Arch itself.

The Road To Sossusvlei
Once one navigates the main Sesriem entrance gates and enters the national park a pleasant surprise awaits, a tarred road (yes, a tarred road) that extends all the way through to the main parking area near Sossusvlei.

Windhoek Oktoberfest 2021
On the 25th and 26th of October, the Sports Klub Windhoek will host the 55th edition of the Oktoberfest. Over 5000 people are expected to attend (compared to 1000 in 2010).
