Experience The Beauty Of The Namib Desert While Staying At This More Affordable Lodge Option
Namib Desert Lodge sits at the very foot of the 'fossilised' sand dunes from the protomorphic Namib period. The lodge is situated just 60 km north of Sesriem, the gateway to the famous Sossusvlei, and not far from the main road, the lodge is an ideal starting point for an excursion to the highest dunes in the world.
Sossusvlei is situated right in the middle of the dune Namib, the sand sea which covers south-western Namibia between the Kuiseb River east of Walvis Bay and the tar road from Aus to Lüderitz. The entire area is part of the national Namib Naukluft Park. Visitor access is limited to a few places only.
The Namib Desert Lodge is set among tall trees and palms, a restaurant (with indoor and outdoor dining areas) and two swimming pools, all of which invite you to linger and relax. Join a drive through the magnificent scenery or just enjoy the thrill of Gemsbok and Springbok, frequenting the illuminated watering hole after dusk.
And if you want to experience the beauty of the Namib Desert at night, you can spend a night at "Namib Dune Star Camp", both part of the Gondwana Collection.

A wide selection of beer, cool drinks, and wine is available from the bar or service staff.
Lodge Facilities
The Namib Desert Lodge offers a range of excellent facilities for guests, which include:
Secure parking is available onsite for those who wish to bring their own vehicles. There is also mobile connectivity, so guests can stay in touch with the outside world, as well as 24-hour security to ensure their safety and peace of mind. Wi-Fi (100 MB free) is available.
There are also two swimming pools – one for adults and one for children – as well as a bar and a restaurant (both indoor and outdoor dining areas), so guests will never go hungry or thirsty.

There are also opportunities to drive to Sesriem Canyon and the Naukluft Mountains.
Guests can also expect to see an array of desert birds and wildlife during their stay within the Gondwana Namib Nature Reserve.
