Zambezi Region Lodges
The Namibian "Zambezi Region" formerly known as the "Caprivi Strip" is a lush green area in the far north of the country that is host to magnificent wildlife, birdlife and fishing. Interestingly, this 450² kilometre stretch of land borders four countries; namely Angola, Botswana, Zambia and of course Zimbabwe and also gives rise to two of Africa's great river systems, the Zambezi River and the Chobe River.
A fascinating region of history and culture and of swamps, rivers, woodland and forests. An area of fantastic wildlife, birdlife, fauna and flora of not forgetting great fishing.
All of this is easy to understand when taking into account that the Okavango Delta lies just to the South, and the Chobe National Park just to the South-East will no fences stopping the wildlife from freely moving between the two countries.
The safari lodges on offer in the region of Namibia are famed for their wildlife and birding experiences, not too dissimilar to what the Northern Okavango Delta lodges in Botswana offer (just cheaper).
The Zambezi Region (Caprivi Strip) offers up some of the wildest and remotest Namibia lodges and camps one can find.
