- Embark on your journey to Virunga Lodge, where you can indulge in pre-dinner cocktails on the picturesque western terrace, offering breathtaking views of the majestic Virunga Volcanoes.
- Alternatively, you can find solace and warmth by the cosy fire indoors.
- The approximate driving time to Virunga Lodge is approximately 3 hours, while a scenic helicopter flight will take around 45 minutes.

Day 2: Volcanoes National Park
- Begin your day by waking up early and enjoying a hearty breakfast before embarking on an unforgettable gorilla tracking adventure in Parc National des Volcans.
- Traverse the captivating bamboo forest nestled on the slopes of the Virunga Volcanoes.
- After a hike lasting between one and three hours, you will have the privilege of spending an hour in the awe-inspiring presence of majestic and gentle mountain gorillas.
- Later, return to the lodge just in time for a delectable late lunch.
- Please note that some gorilla families may prove more elusive, resulting in a full-day tracking experience, especially during wet and muddy conditions.

Day 3: Volcanoes National Park

- Embark on a second gorilla trek (additional permits required).
- Trek alongside the endangered and rare golden monkey.

- Explore the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, located near Kinigi.
