Kruger Mountain Bike Trails
Full Day or Half Day
Guided mountain bike trails in the Kruger Park offer something a little different for those looking for some other than a safari on foot or by vehicle.
A choice of either half or full-day trails are available; all trails depart from Olifants Rest Camp in the very southeastern corner of the National Park itself.
Highly recommended, albeit slightly out of the way.
Horse Back Safaris
Full Day or Half Day
Relaxing on horseback, that’s the plan. It’s a peaceful, laid-back one-hour outride, ideal for everybody from beginners through to the advanced horseman or woman.
We are riding well-trained, home-bred polo ponies through the surrounding natural beauty of the 2000-hectare Sandford Conservancy and Game Park, a more peaceful ramble one can’t imagine.
Bring the children too – none under six years old, however.
Jane Goodall Institute
Half Day
Fifteen kilometres outside of Nelspruit in a 1000-ha private nature reserve, you will find the Jane Goodall Institute South Africa Chimpanzee Sanctuary.
The sanctuary is a home of hope, peace and some degree of normality to dozens of traumatised chimpanzees from all over the continent.
Chimp Eden offers a unique opportunity to see these Chimpanzees in their semi-wild habitat, offering guided visits three times daily.
White Water Rafting
Full Day or Half Day
White Water Rafting on the upper Sabie River with the spectacular surrounding scenery and the rush of twenty exhilarating rapids of a 2-3 grading await the adrenalin enthusiast.
Guided 2½ and 4-hour river adventures are available in 2-man inflatable "croc rafts", departing from the Sabie River Adventure centre in Hazyview, Mpumalanga, South Africa.
Kruger Helicopter Tours
Half Day
Helicopter Tours over the scenic Mpumalanga Lowveld are undoubtedly one of the best ways to experience and photograph the beauty and splendour of this magnificent region.
Based in Hazyview, most tours are offered from surrounding Lowveld lodges as well as the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve (and all lodges within).
These flights offer the potential for a unique day safari experience of the Kruger Park from above.
Visit a Cultural Village
Half Day
A safari in South Africa is not complete without a visit to any one of the numerous cultural villages, and the Kruger National Park region is no exception.
Get to know the local Shangaan people, their culture, their beliefs, their lifestyles (past and present) and their artwork.
Spend a few hours or spend the night, this is entirely up to you, but one thing is for sure - you will meet some of the friendliest people in the country.
Endangered Wildlife Experience

For those passionate about wildlife, nature and conservation, a fantastic educational experience awaits.

Tours are generally in the region of 2 to 3 hours in length.
Hot Air Balloon Safari
Half Day
