Kruger National Park Reviews
An Inside Look At Some Of The Top Lodges And Camps In The Kruger National Park
Kruger National Park is a world-renowned wildlife destination located in South Africa. It is home to an incredible array of animals, plants and landscapes that offer visitors an unforgettable safari and bush experience. The national park covers 19,485 km2 (7,523 sq mi) and contains the largest diversity of species in any African national parks or game reserves.
The Uyaphi.com team has been privileged to visit and photograph many Kruger National Park lodges and camps on numerous occasions over the past two decades.
We have explored the park's diverse landscapes, wildlife (including the "Big Five"), and various lodges and safari camps.
We have had the opportunity to take a closer look at our favourite safari lodges and camps in the park. To photograph, experience, view and taste these special safari lodges and tented camps is and always will be special for us.
Below are our personal thoughts, feelings and photographs of just a few of the safari properties we have had the privilege of visiting.
Our experience of Kruger National Park has been nothing short of amazing, one of the best in Southern Africa for game viewing and accommodation options.
Every visit we have made here has offered us new and exciting experiences, whether it be photographing wildlife on game drives or a bush walk, exploring the park's diverse landscapes or simply meeting new people at the lodges and safari camps.

Umkumbe Lodge Photo Gallery
On the numerous games drive here, we had a fantastic time spotting wildlife and birdlife, but it is back at the lodge with the views of the Sand River where we had our best birding opportunities.
It was also back at the lodge while swimming in the pool that a large herd of buffalo and elephant slowly meandered up the river bed - amazing.
Umlani Bush Camp Gallery
Umlani Bush Camp is set in the heart of the Timbavati Game Reserve, offering superb rustic accommodation, hospitality and an authentic safari atmosphere and all of this mixed with some of the best wildlife in the whole of South Africa.
Nothing like a game drive in the Timbavati, an excellent option for those on self-drive safaris. One of the best bushveld camps.
Africa On Foot Gallery
From the moment you walk through the entrance of Africa on Foot, you are greeted with the warm hospitality that follows you through your days on safari here.
Although only a small lodge, the focus here is on walking safaris.

Cradled on the banks of the Great Olifants River, beneath towering fig and natal mahogany trees, lies Ezulwini River Lodge.
Ezulwini, meaning ‘place of paradise’, remains true to its name in the secretive construction of River Lodge, which is a bird-lovers utopia and a wildlife wonderland.
Ezulwini Billy’s Lodge Gallery
Succumb to bushveld luxury at Ezulwini Billy’s Lodge, which is built on the banks of a riverbed seasonally visited by rain, bringing herds of grazing animals and their predatory counterparts right to the vicinity of the lodge.
