Experience Wildlife Paradise At Nkwali Camp Along The Luangwa River!
Nkwali Camp is located on Robin's private land, overlooking the South Luangwa National Park.
The land is superb game-viewing country, with a beautiful area of ebony woodland and open grasslands. Elephants regularly cross the Luangwa, seen from the bar, or come to the waterhole near the thatched dining room.
Nkwali Camp has been designed so that guests always look out - to the bush and to the Luangwa River. The central bar and lounge area has been built around an ancient ebony tree and sports a traditional thatched roof, but no walls.
Decking stretches out towards the riverbank so that guests can dine beneath the stars while gazing at the moon reflected on the river.
This Luangwa River Camp is open all year and the seasons are basically divided into the "dry season" (mid-May-October) and the "green season" (November- mid-May).
Rooms and Suites
Each of the 7 thatched chalet at Nkwali Camp is a testament to traditional craftsmanship and luxurious comfort, nestled within the serene beauty of the African bush. The high thatched roofs not only provide a cool retreat from the African sun but also blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings, promoting a sense of unity with nature.
Inside, the chalets are furnished tastefully with local materials and textiles, offering guests a unique and authentic experience of the wilderness. Large, netted windows ensure the space is bathed in natural light while offering panoramic views of the lush landscapes, allowing the tranquility and awe of the African wilderness to permeate every moment of your stay.
Cuisine and Wine
The cuisine at Nkwali Camp is an exquisite blend of local and international flavours, tailored to treat the palate with an array of delightful experiences. Ingredients are sourced locally to ensure freshness and to support the community, with dishes carefully crafted to showcase the traditional tastes of the region.
Special dietary requirements are graciously accommodated, with each meal prepared thoughtfully to ensure guests enjoy not only the tastes but also the nutritional benefits.
Imagine dining under the African sky, enjoying expertly prepared meals that are as memorable as the landscape.
Facilities
Nkwali Camp boasts a range of facilities designed to complement the breathtaking natural beauty of its surroundings, ensuring guests enjoy both comfort and authenticity during their stay. At the heart of the camp is the open-air lounge and dining area, offering panoramic views of the Luangwa River and its wildlife.
The bar, nestled under a magnificent ebony tree, serves as a gathering point where guests can share stories of their day's adventures. For relaxation, the camp features a refreshing swimming pool with a scenic overlook, perfect for cooling off in the warm African afternoons.
Activities
At Nkwali Camp, guests are invited to immerse themselves in a range of activities tailored to showcase the splendour of the surrounding Zambian wilderness.
