Somalisa Expeditions Camp is set in the Hwange National Park offers guests a more authentic safari experience with only six tented suites located at the edge of a season floodplain in a grove of acacia trees.
Wildlife and birdlife sightings around the camp and in this region of Hwange National Park are nothing short of fantastic. A waterhole buts up against the main view deck, offering guests an incredible up-close encounter with African elephants.

Rooms and Suites
Six Meru-styled tents all offer up viewing decks, comfortable bedrooms with en-suite bathroom facilities with bath, shower, hot and cold water, flushing toilet and hand basins.
At Somalisa Expeditions Camp, guests can enjoy a range of suite amenities, including a standing fan, mosquito nets and repellent, a tea and coffee station, a fan for cooling, and a charging station.
These ensure that guests can enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay while at the camp.
Cuisine and Wine
As with all Somalisa lodges in the Hwange portfolio, all meals are prepared from only the freshest and best ingredients sourced locally. The highly skilled team in the kitchen will wow you with what can be prepared in the middle of the Hwange bushveld.
Facilities
The tented central guest area offers guests a large teak view deck, both indoor and outdoor dining areas, an open bar, lounge and small library with fireplace, as well as a fire pit for those after-dinner drinks out under the African stars.
The entire camp is run off solar power with charging stations in both suites and the central guest area.
Activities
An authentic safari experience awaits within the Hwange National Park; early morning and afternoon game drives, night drives, guided walking safaris, bird watching and photography, and cultural village tours are available.
Wildlife sightings in the area include; elephant, kudu, sable antelope, zebra, wildebeest, gemsbok, roan antelope, buffalo, giraffe, lion, leopard, and hyena, to mention only but a few.
