Day 1: Kalahari Desert
- Departing Windhoek we head for Namibia's Kalahari Desert.
- Just before the small town of Mariental, we head east to our overnight accommodation.
- The stylish Kalahari Anib Lodge awaits with all the amenities one could think of.
- In the late afternoon, we head off for our 'Sundowner Dune Drive'.

Day 2: Namib Desert
- After a full breakfast, we depart the Kalahari Desert and head in the direction of the Namib Desert.
- We travel through the spectacular Namib Naukluft Mountains before reaching the sands of the Namib.
- Our home for the next two nights is the Namib Desert Lodge.
- An afternoon drive to the crest of fossilised dunes is on the cards with fantastic scenery and photographic opportunities.

Day 3: Namib Desert
- A very early start to the day sees us off to climb the dunes at Sossusvlei, visit Deadvlei and explore the Sesriem Canyon
- A picnic brunch at the side of the tall red dunes is a highlight all by itself.
- We return to the lodge mid-afternoon for an afternoon of relaxation.
- Optional walking and mountain biking routes are available should you be a tad bored.

Day 4: Swakopmund
- A buffet breakfast before departing on a fascinating journey through the Namib heading in the direction of the coastal town of Swakopmund.
- A quick stop at the tiny town of Solitaire for coffee and their famous apple pie.
- Swakopmund although in the desert is cool and often misty offers old German architecture, wide streets and a plethora of restaurants, coffee and curio shops.
- Our home for the next two nights is the new and beautiful 'The delight'.
- Lunch and dinner are for your own account but with numerous dining options across all budget ranges, there is a restaurant that will suit you.

Day 5: Swakopmund
- The day ahead is all yours, no planned excursions are on offer.
- Enjoy a hearty champagne breakfast before heading out to explore Swakopmund.
- Choose an activity or excursion ranging from Living Desert tours, kayaking in the Walvis Bay lagoon and dolphin cruises to sandboarding, quad-biking and skydiving, the choice is yours.
- End the day in one of Swakopmund’s popular restaurants.

Day 6: Damaraland
- After breakfast we head north along the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, we pass the small town of Henties Bay before turning inland in the direction of Damaraland.
- Passing the Brandberg massif and Uis we stop off and visit Twyfelfontein, Organ Pipes, Burnt Mountain and the Petrified Forest.
- Around mid-afternoon, we arrive at Damara Mopane Lodge were we settle in for the night.
- Meals: Breakfast and dinner

Day 7: Damaraland
- A leisurely day is spent at the lodge relaxing, catching up on the news or cooling off at the large turquoise pool.
- An afternoon walk to the sunset deck for a sundowner drink and an exceptional view of the landscape.
- Meals: Breakfast and dinner
- Accommodation: Damara Mopane Lodge
Day 8: Etosha National Park
- Etosha National Park is our destination today.
- We leave just after breakfast arriving at our lodge in time for an afternoon game drive.
- Our home for the next few nights is the rustic Etosha Safari Camp.
- The camp is famed for its quirky restaurant and local musicians that will have you toe tapping and singing along in no time.
- Meals: Breakfast and dinner
- Accommodation: Etosha Safari Camp
Day 9: Etosha National Park
- A full days game drive in the Etosha National park is on the cards for today.
- This is your chance to sight and photography many of the region wildlife and birdlife.
- Returning in the late afternoon to the friendliness of Etosha Safari Camp for your final night of the tour.
- Meals: Breakfast and dinner
- Accommodation: Etosha Safari Camp
Day 10: Highlights Of Namibia Safari Ends
- After breakfast, we head south for Namibia's capital, Windhoek.
- En-route we stop off at the popular woodcarver’s market in the town of Okahandja for some last minute curio shopping.
- Our safari has come to an end and we say our sad goodbyes.
- Meals: Breakfast

The Road To Sossusvlei
Once one navigates the main Sesriem entrance gates and enters the national park a pleasant surprise awaits, a tarred road (yes, a tarred road) that extends all the way through to the main parking area near Sossusvlei.
Cape Town To The Kunene River
In November and December of last year (2019), we loaded our Jeep and headed north out of Cape Town, destination Namibia and the Kunene River, her border with Angola.
A couple of thousand kilometres later, we returned, this time, more in love with country than ever.
Windhoek Oktoberfest 2021
On the 25th and 26th of October, the Sports Klub Windhoek will host the 55th edition of the Oktoberfest. Over 5000 people are expected to attend (compared to 1000 in 2010).
