Onguma Bush Camp Gallery
Onguma Bush Camp is located within the private Onguma game reserve bordering Etosha. The entrance to Onguma is a right next to the main Namatoni gate, making it a suitable destination for self-drivers wanting to get into the National Park at the crack of dawn.
Accommodation types vary according to budgets; we stayed in the "Deluxe Waterhole Room" that offered glorious uninterrupted bushveld views (we had zebra and impala not more than 5 metres away), more than enough space, comfortable twin beds and perfectly sized bathrooms. All in all, I was delighted with my accommodation and could not have asked for more.
Dinners and breakfast were excellent during our stay, the atmosphere and views from the dining area are out over a waterhole that is frequented by good wildlife and birding sightings (not forgetting the fish and terrapins in the water).
The central guest area is spacious and offers views out over a waterhole and into the surrounding bushveld. A swimming pool area is just off to the side and is the spot for one to escape the summer heat. WiFi is available throughout the central guest area.
Can we recommend a stay at Onguma Bush Camp? Yes, and that would be a very big YES. We would suggest at least a three-night stay to experience all that the Eastern Etosha region has to offer. The perfect Etosha Lodge? We would say, not far off.
